Payroll Business Analyst

3–6-Month Contract Initially | Auckland Tō kamupene hou | Your new company We’re currently looking for an experienced Payroll Business Analyst to join one of our clients as they embark on an upcoming payroll transformation project. Our client has approximately 300–400 employees and is looking to review its current payroll environment, explore suitable payroll system options and determine the best approach for the future. Tō tūranga hou | Your new role In this role, you’ll work closely with key business stakeholders to understand existing payroll processes, identify pain points and gather requirements for a future payroll solution. You’ll also provide input into system evaluation and selection, helping the client understand what solution will best meet their payroll and business needs. Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed • Strong Business Analyst experience, ideally across payroll transformation or implementation projects • Good understanding of end-to-end payroll processes • Experience with payroll systems and ideally, system selection or implementation • Strong requirements gathering and process mapping skills • Experience facilitating workshops with payroll, HR, finance and technology stakeholders • Ability to identify process improvements and translate business requirements into system requirements • Experience with vendor evaluation or RFP processes would be advantageous • Good understanding of the New Zealand payroll environment • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Ngā hua ka whiwhi i a koe | What you'll get in return You will receive an excellent hourly rate on offer, working through Hays, the largest specialist agency globally, where you will get the benefits of online timesheets & weekly payments, working with supportive consultants who genuinely care.
