Use your analytical expertise to influence procurement and commercial outcomes About the Opportunity We are seeking an analytical and commercially minded Procurement Analyst to join a high-performing Procurement and Commercial team within a large, complex public sector organisation.This role offers a unique opportunity to combine data analytics, contract management, procurement support, and stakeholder engagement to help drive better business outcomes. You will play a key role in transforming procurement and contract data into meaningful insights that support informed decision-making, continuous improvement, and value delivery across the organisation.If you are passionate about data, procurement, commercial performance, and finding opportunities to improve how services are delivered, this could be an excellent next step in your career. Key Responsibilities • Analyse procurement, contract, financial, and performance data to deliver meaningful insights and recommendations. • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to support decision-making. • Monitor procurement activity, supplier performance, and contract outcomes. • Manage an allocated portfolio of contracts and supplier relationships. • Lead supplier performance reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. • Support procurement planning, sourcing activities, and contract management processes. • Prepare reports for leadership, governance forums, audits, and external requests. • Leverage technology and data to improve reporting, efficiency, and procurement performance. • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners. About You You are an analytical and commercially minded professional who enjoys turning complex data into actionable insights. You thrive in a collaborative environment, have a keen eye for detail, and are passionate about using data to drive better procurement and commercial outcomes. You will bring: • At least 3 years' experience in a Procurement Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role. • Strong analytical skills, with experience interpreting financial, procurement, and performance data. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience developing reports and dashboards. • Experience working with procurement, contract management, or business information systems. • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify risks, opportunities, and trends. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • A proactive and curious mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement. • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience.
