About the Role RELYzIT Talent is seeking a Senior .NET and Angular Developer for a high-impact freelance assignment with our client’s Digitalization and Organization department. You’ll join the Hydra team, driving digital transformation in the agricultural sector by building and enhancing mission-critical applications that support European agricultural policy and the Programmatic Approach to Nitrogen (PAS). This is a freelance position for 6 months, based in Brussels (Schaerbeek), Belgium. Why This Role Matters Agriculture and environmental sustainability are at a crossroads. As a Senior .NET and Angular Developer, you will directly influence how digital solutions empower the Agency for Agriculture and Fisheries to deliver on European policy, sustainability, and operational excellence. Your work will enable smarter, more efficient processes for programs like VLIF, GMO, Care Farms, Advisory and Training, and financial monitoring. The stakes are high: your code will help shape the future of sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship. What You’ll Be Doing • Designing, developing, and maintaining robust .NET and Angular-based web applications for both new and existing projects within the GBCS and PAS initiatives (50% each). • Translating functional specifications into scalable, maintainable technical solutions aligned with established architecture, standards, and frameworks. • Collaborating closely with fellow developers and reporting to the project manager to ensure seamless delivery and integration. • Driving the implementation of new features and enhancements, ensuring high performance and reliability. • Leading by example: coaching and mentoring other developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. • Ensuring transparent, open communication within the team and with stakeholders. • Rapidly executing programming tasks, including coding, testing, and debugging, to meet project milestones. • Contributing to the analysis, implementation, and maintenance of applications supporting enterprise and development processes. Technical Skills & Experience • Minimum 60 months of demonstrable experience with .NET (C#) development (Senior level). • Expertise in developing applications using .NET Core and webAPI. • Advanced experience with Angular 20 or higher. • Proven experience with CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation) patterns. • Hands-on experience with EF Core (Entity Framework Core). • Strong knowledge of NGRX for state management in Angular applications. • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, including Yaml pipelines and CI/CD best practices. • Solid understanding of Oracle DB and PLSQL for backend data management. • Experience with AGGrid for advanced data grid implementations. • Familiarity with Elasticsearch for search and analytics solutions. • Demonstrable experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies, including the ability to take a leading role in Agile teams. • Experience with Github Copilot for AI-assisted development. • Proven ability to lead development teams and coach junior developers. • Track record of delivering high-quality code rapidly and efficiently. Language Proficiency • Fluency in Dutch at European CEFR level C2 is mandatory. Other Requirements • Relevant education with certification or equivalent experience in programming languages and environments such as .NET (C#), ASP.NET, etc. • Demonstrable experience in Agile/Scrum environments, with a preference for candidates who have taken on leadership roles. • Ability to work transparently and communicate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
