As a Full Stack DevOps, you’ll be pivotal in building robust, scalable platforms and AI-driven automation that unlock radical improvements in trade ecosystems. Your work will directly enable new business models, smarter risk management, and seamless digital experiences for companies across Europe and beyond. Key Responsibilities • Lead and support the technical development of core applications and services, collaborating closely with IT leadership. • Design, build, and maintain Python web services and APIs using FastAPI, Celery, and modern frameworks. • Develop, optimize, and document CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab CI/CD, ArgoCD) for seamless deployment and scalability. • Architect and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Compute Engine, IAM, Secret Manager, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Vertex AI). • Advise teams on best-fit technologies, tools, and architectures for each project and venture. • Implement and automate AI-based regression testing to ensure code quality and reliability. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (risk, data analytics) to deliver custom solutions and automate business processes. • Champion best practices in code craftsmanship, modularity, and documentation to ensure sustainable scalability. • Contribute technical insights to process and workflow design, always aiming for long-term, maintainable solutions. • Support and mentor team members, fostering a culture of trust, curiosity, and bold innovation. Technical Skills • Python (3.10+), FastAPI, Celery, SQLModel, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, black, flake8, Git, Alembic, PostgreSQL, JWT, REST API • Programmatic use of AI models • WordPress administration, plugin/theme development • DevOps: Gitlab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker • Cloud/Sysadmin: Google Cloud Platform, GKE, Compute Engine, IAM, Secret Manager, Monitoring, BigQuery, Storage, Cloud SQL, Error Reporting/Logging, VPC Network, Vertex AI, Linux, Nginx, Wireguard, ufw/iptables • Front-end (nice to have): TypeScript, Next.js, NPM, ESLint, Prettier, Husky, Git What We’re Looking For • Proven experience as a full-stack developer in a startup or scale-up environment • Expertise in Python, cloud architecture, and deployment • Outstanding execution across both frontend and backend environments • Experience with data architecture is a plus • Highest level of professional and intellectual integrity—trust is non-negotiable • Team player who values culture over individual heroics • Structured self-starter with an 80/20 mindset and strong drive • Ability to work independently and deliver consistent, high-quality results without micromanagement • Comfortable with both success and failure, open to feedback and continuous learning • Understanding of B2B trade is a plus; knowledge of trade credit insurance is a nice-to-have • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies as needed Language Proficiency • Professional proficiency in English required • Additional European languages are a plus Other Requirements • This is a freelance position with a project duration of up to 4 months • Partial remote work is possible; location in Belgium preferred • Availability to work up to 90 days within the Statement of Work period in 2026 • Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time (all travel fully expensed by the client) • Engagement via proUnity platform with monthly timesheets and invoicing • Experience working in Agile or lean startup environments is valued About Our Client Our client is a pioneering force in B2B trade innovation, backed by a leading European export credit agency.
