Senior Financial Accountant

An excellent opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of financial reporting, compliance and month-end processes within a well-established manufacturing organisation. Partnering closely with operational and senior leadership teams, you will provide accurate financial information and valuable commercial insights to support business performance. Description • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with accounting standards • Manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the integrity of the general ledger • Prepare statutory reporting, BAS, FBT and other compliance obligations as required • Support the budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management processes • Analyse financial performance and provide insightful commentary on key variances and trends • Partner with operational stakeholders to improve financial controls and business performance • Assist with external audits and liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and financial governance • Mentor and support junior finance team members where required • Contribute to ad hoc projects, system enhancements and business improvement initiatives Profile • Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or Commerce • CA or CPA qualified is essential • 5+ years' experience in a Senior Financial Accountant or similar financial reporting position • Previous experience within manufacturing, industrial, FMCG or a product-based environment is highly regarded • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of Australian accounting standards • Experience managing month-end reporting and statutory compliance requirements • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities • Experience using SAP highly regarded but not essential • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • High attention to detail with a proactive and solutions-focused approach Job Offer • Competitive salary package with career progression opportunities • Key role within a successful and growing manufacturing business • Exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making processes • Supportive and collaborative team culture with strong leadership • Opportunity to drive process improvements and add real commercial value to the organisation To apply online please click the 'Apply' button below.
