Financial Analyst (Power BI/SQL)

The Senior Financial Analyst will commence ASAP as a contract role for 9 months. The role will take part in process improvement and automation activities. The successful candidate will thrive if they enjoy process improvement initiatives, can deal in an amphibious and fast-paced environment. Client Details We are partnering with a fast-growing technology business building innovative solutions that make a real impact for our customers. The organisation's growth has led to the requirement of an uplift of its reporting and systems, leading to the addition of new heads. Description The role will include the following: • Transform and simplify the reporting environment - build a reliable, scalable framework that enables faster analysis and better decision-making. • Consolidate P&Ls into a consistent reporting architecture across P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow. • Standardise Budget, Forecast and reporting by mapping data into the new reporting structures. • Support EPM reporting design and implementation, including Budget and Forecast loading. • Build smarter reporting capability through Power BI dashboards and SQL-enabled data sets. • Rationalise the Report Writer suite - remove duplicate, outdated and unreliable reports and establish a single source of truth. • Standardise reporting logic and definitions to improve data integrity, consistency and usability • Drive automation and efficiency to reduce manual reporting effort and improve speed of output. Profile The Senior Financial Analyst will ideally have or be: • Power BI/SQL experience • A relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field. • Experience in a similar role • Proficiency in financial analysis and budgeting processes. • Advanced skills in financial software and tools. • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. • Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
