The Role We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Director of Finance to strategically develop, maintain, and oversee the systems that support the financial health and long-term sustainability of the organization.

As a hands-on financial expert, you will lead budget development and tracking and continually strengthen our core financial systems—spend management, contract execution, and business planning and budgeting.

In addition to supervising the Controller, this role plays a strong supporting role in fundraising and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, building the analyses and tools that model organizational cash flow, costs, and scenarios. Partner with program and department leaders to support budget ownership, forecasting, and financial decision-making.

Prepare, analyze, and present accurate, timely financial reports—including monthly and annual financial statements, budget-to-actual analysis, cash flow plans, and dashboards.

Oversee CBV’s externally managed investment portfolio in accordance with the Board-approved investment policy, including coordinating with the investment advisor, monitoring performance, liquidity, fees, compliance, and expected withdrawals, and providing
