Mrs. Bector's Food Specialities - Commercial Finance Manager - FMCG

Role Overview: We are looking for a Commercial Finance Manager with strong experience in FP&A, commercial finance, pricing, margin management, revenue management, and business partnering, preferably within the FMCG or F&B industry. The role will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and business leadership to drive financial performance, strengthen commercial controls, improve profitability, and support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate should have strong commercial acumen, excellent analytical skills, and hands-on experience with SAP/ERP, Excel, and Power BI. Key Responsibilities: - Lead FP&A activities including Annual Operating Plan (AOP), budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, variance analysis, and KPI tracking. - Partner with Sales and Marketing teams on business plans, financial performance, pricing decisions, and commercial initiatives. - Drive trade spend governance, including budget monitoring, scheme controls, contract reviews, pricing controls, and risk mitigation. - Analyze and improve gross margins, contribution margins, portfolio profitability, and cost structures. - Identify opportunities for cost optimization, working capital improvement, and profitability enhancement. - Oversee sales accounting and revenue management activities, ensuring transaction accuracy, reconciliation, revenue recognition, and timely reporting. - Support B2B and B2C pricing strategy, including pricing analysis, realization tracking, approval governance, and profitability assessment. - Lead trade scheme design, evaluation, settlement, and effectiveness analysis to improve commercial returns. - Support New Product Development (NPD) costing, including product cost estimation, business case analysis, and post-launch profitability tracking. - Drive credit control and receivables management, including credit policy, ageing analysis, collection monitoring, and risk management. - Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reports using Power BI, Excel, and ERP data. - Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations to leadership to support business and commercial decisions. - Strengthen financial processes, controls, governance, and compliance across commercial operations. - Conduct scenario analysis and financial modelling to evaluate pricing, promotions, investments, and business initiatives. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial discipline and alignment with business objectives. Required Skills & Experience: - 6 - 10 years of experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Business Finance, or a closely related function. - Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA). - Relevant experience in FMCG, F&B, Consumer Products, or a similar commercial business environment. - Strong experience in FP&A, AOP, budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, and variance management. - Hands-on experience in commercial controls, trade spend, pricing, schemes, and profitability management. - Strong understanding of sales accounting, revenue management, reconciliations, and working capital. - Experience partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and business leadership. - Strong financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems, advanced Excel, and Power BI. - Strong understanding of pricing, margins, cost optimization, and commercial decision-making. - Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills. - Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate in a fast-paced business environment.
