Project Manager - HR IT Solutions Job Summary : The Project Manager - HR IT Solutions plays a key role in delivering global HR technology initiatives that enhance, simplify, and modernize the employee experience. Operating within the HR IT Solutions team, this role manages end to end delivery of HR system projects - primarily Workday - by coordinating cross-functional teams, driving structured project governance, and ensuring alignment with established standards, architectural principles, and best practices. The Project Manager partners with Product Owners, IT Analysts, HR business stakeholders, Integrations, and Change Management teams to plan, execute, and deliver high quality solutions that support the organization's HR strategy on a global scale. This role requires a strong understanding of the Workday ecosystem, excellent project management skills, and a solid grasp of the Agile/Scrum framework. Success in this role hinges on the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, drive and lead without formal authority, and prioritize end-user needs to create a positive user experience within the system. The Project Manager will report to the Senior Manager, HR IT Solutions, and will be part of a global team working on the implementation, enhancements, design, configuration, and technical support of HR applications. Key Responsibilities : Project & Delivery Management : - Lead end to end delivery of global HR technology projects, from initial planning and scoping through implementation, testing, deployment, and stabilization. - Manage Workday-related projects (e.g., new functionality, enhancements, integrations, module expansions) ensuring timely, high quality delivery. - Develop project plans covering scope, milestones, timelines, resources, risks, and interdependencies. - Apply Agile/Scrum methodologies to structure delivery, manage sprint cycles, facilitate ceremonies, and ensure iterative, value driven progress. - Establish and maintain strong delivery governance, including status reporting, RAID logs, Steering Committee updates, and stakeholder engagement routines. - Ensure project documentation, decisions, and deliverables meet HR IT Solutions standards and audit expectations. Stakeholder Collaboration : - Partner with Product Owners, Analysts, HR Operations, Integrations, Security, and Reporting teams to deliver cohesive and user centered solutions. - Coordinate closely with Change Management and Training teams to support smooth launches and successful user adoption. - Facilitate cross-functional workshops for requirements, design, and solution validation. - Manage communications and expectations for global stakeholders across time zones. Workday Program Management : - Ensure project plans reflect Workday dependencies, release schedules, and platform constraints. - Support analysis of Workday updates and evaluate their impacts on ongoing projects and HR processes. - Promote standardization, scalability, and simplification across Workday related initiatives. Quality, Standards & Best Practices : - Ensure adherence to Agile practices, project governance, and documentation standards. - Drive a holistic, end to end systems perspective - promoting solutions that optimize user experience and reduce technical debt. - Proactively identify risks, dependencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities in project delivery or system design. - Support continuous improvement activities within the HR IT Solutions team to strengthen delivery excellence. Additional Responsibilities : - Manage vendor partners and third-party service providers as needed. - Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of new HR technologies, tools, and integrations beyond Workday. - Promote knowledge sharing, process alignment, and consistency across the broader People Technologies community. Qualifications : Required : - 5+ years of project management experience, preferably within HR technology or enterprise systems. - Demonstrated success managing full lifecycle HR system implementations or major enhancements. - Strong Workday project delivery experience (functional or technical project management). - Hands on experience applying Agile and Scrum methodologies, including planning, sprint execution, backlog management, and iterative solution delivery. - Solid understanding of global HR processes and HR systems architecture.
