Senior Mechanical Engineer Brisbane, QLD | Hybrid Working Arrangement 12-Month Contract (Ongoing Potential) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a major mining and minerals project based in Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale studies, FEED, and detailed design projects within a collaborative EPCM environment. You will be responsible for leading mechanical engineering activities from concept through to detailed design while providing technical leadership across multidisciplinary project teams. Key Responsibilities • Lead mechanical engineering activities from concept, FEED, and detailed design through project delivery. • Prepare and review calculations, specifications, datasheets, and technical reports. • Develop equipment specifications, procurement packages, and manage vendor interfaces. • Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, constructability reviews, and risk assessments. • Support procurement, cost estimating, scheduling, change management, construction, and commissioning activities. • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and provide mentorship to junior engineers. • Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Mandatory RPEQ registration. • CPEng or equivalent registration is highly desirable. • 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience. • Strong experience in Mining, Minerals & Metals projects. • Demonstrated involvement in Studies, FEED, Detailed Design, and EPCM project delivery. • Proven experience with vendor management, package engineering, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
