About the client F: Our client is a fast-growing FMCG / consumer products company that is entering an exciting phase of scale and institutionalisation. The business has established a strong presence in its category and is now investing in building robust systems, processes and leadership capabilities to support its next stage of growth. The company operates through a combination of an in-house manufacturing facility and multiple contract manufacturing partners, with products distributed across established consumer channels. It remains founder-led, with an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and execution-oriented culture. As the business continues to scale, the founders are looking to strengthen the organisation's finance function with a dedicated leader who can build greater structure, rigour and scalability across the function. About the role: The Director - Finance will take end-to-end ownership of the finance function, transitioning responsibility currently managed by the founders. Reporting directly to the founders, the role will span FP&A, controllership, treasury, financial planning, compliance and finance transformation. The individual will lead budgeting, forecasting, MIS, cash-flow and working-capital management, while overseeing accounting, taxation, compliance, audit and financial controls. A key part of the mandate will be to build scalable finance processes and reporting frameworks across both in-house and contract manufacturing operations. The role will also lead and develop an existing finance team, bringing greater structure, accountability and rigour to the function. As the company scales, the leader will play a critical role in strengthening financial systems, providing forward-looking business insights and supporting the founders in key strategic and operational decisions. Key Responsibilities: 1. End-to-End Ownership of Finance: - Take over complete responsibility for the finance function from the founders. - Own day-to-day finance operations, reporting, and governance. - Act as the primary finance partner to founders and leadership. 2. Financial Planning, Budgeting & FP&A: - Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and rolling financial plans. - Build and institutionalize FP&A and MIS frameworks. - Track margins, costs, working capital, and profitability. - Provide forward-looking insights to support business decisions. 3. Fund Management & Treasury: - Manage cash flows, liquidity planning, and working capital. - Drive discipline in fund utilization and capital allocation. - Support leadership with financial preparedness for future fundraising. 4. Finance Operations & Controllership: - Oversee accounting, compliance, audits, and taxation. - Strengthen financial controls, SOPs, and processes. 5. Ensure accurate accounting for: - In-house manufacturing. - Contract / third-party manufacturers. 6. Systems & Process Building: - Improve and formalize finance systems and reporting structures. - Work with existing ERP and support migration to a more scalable platform. - Ensure finance processes are audit-ready and scalable. 7. Team Leadership: - Manage and develop a finance team of 8 members. - Set structure, accountability, and performance standards. - Provide supervisory oversight to plant finance teams. Candidate Profile: - Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10 to 15+ years of relevant finance experience. - Strong hands-on expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis. - Strong hands-on expertise in Budgeting & forecasting. - Strong hands-on expertise in Fund / cash flow management. - Experience managing end-to-end finance operations. Preferred Background: - Experience in consumer / FMCG businesses. - Exposure and understanding of General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) models. - Experience in manufacturing environments (plant and/or contract manufacturing). - Experience in founder-led or fast-growing organizations is a strong plus.
