Accurate & Timely Payroll Execution: - Oversee management of multi-entity, end-to-end payroll cycles, ensuring flawless accuracy, zero-defect processing, and strict deadline adherence. People Leadership: - Mentor, lead, and upskill a high-performing payroll operations team; manage team SLAs, performance metrics, and professional development. Statutory Compliance & New Labour Codes: - Ensure full adherence to local, state, and central labor laws (PF, ESI, LWF, Professional Tax, Income Tax). - Lead payroll readiness for the New Labour Codes (Wages, Social Security, OSH, Industrial Relations). Audit, Risk Mitigation & Controls: - Build robust internal control frameworks (SOX/Internal Audits) to detect and prevent discrepancies, compliance gaps, and payroll fraud. - Manage internal, external, and statutory payroll audits. Digital Transformation & HR Tech: - Drive automation using modern HRIS/Payroll tools (e.g., SAP, SuccessFactors). - Eliminate manual interventions using automated workflows and self-service portals. Vendor Management: - Supervise third-party payroll vendors, managed services, and software partners. - Enforce SLAs, monitor KPI metrics, and conduct quarterly performance audits. Cross-Functional Finance Liaison: - Partner closely with Finance and Accounting teams for GL posting, variance analysis, salary reconciliations, treasury funding, and budgeting forecasts. Reporting & Analytics: - Build data-driven payroll dashboards, labor cost analytics, variance reports, and executive summaries to support executive decision-making.
