Project Manager

HEH Civil is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a 12-month contract delivering civil construction projects across Far North Queensland. This is an on-site role based from Cairns, open to local applicants, those willing to relocate, or candidates open to FIFO from Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. The role suits someone with strong civil contracting experience who can take ownership of delivery, commercial outcomes, client relationships and project teams. Benefits of the role: • 12-month contract based from Cairns, with FIFO considered from Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane • Competitive package including vehicle, and allowances for work away • Senior ownership across delivery, commercial performance and client relationships • Strong engineering, supervision and operational support Responsibilities: • Lead one major civil project, or several smaller projects, depending on business needs • Manage delivery, budgets, forecasts, claims, variations and project risk • Coordinate Engineers, Supervisors, subcontractors and site teams • Maintain strong client, TMR, local government and stakeholder relationships • Oversee planning, programming, procurement, resourcing and contract administration • Report on project performance, risks, opportunities and key issues Requirements: • Based in Cairns, willing to relocate, or open to FIFO from Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane • Bachelor of Engineering • Substantial civil construction project management experience • Strong commercial, contract administration and project delivery capability • Confident leadership across Engineers, Supervisors, subcontractors and site teams • Willing to travel for regional work, including overnight stays and occasional Saturday work when required If you are an experienced civil Project Manager looking for a 12-month contract with strong support and meaningful project ownership, we would like to hear from you.
