Job Description

Role Overview: We are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on Project Manager (Wind) to lead end-to-end execution of utility-scale wind power projects across India. This is a strategic role based out of Mumbai HO, with frequent travel to project sites during critical phases. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in managing multi-megawatt wind projects from concept to commissioning, including land acquisition coordination, EPC management, and site execution. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Planning & Execution: - Lead the complete lifecycle of wind project execution from DPR, engineering coordination, procurement follow-ups, and site mobilization to COD. - Develop detailed project execution plans and drive adherence to cost, time, and quality targets. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams including land, engineering, procurement, logistics, and construction for smooth implementation. - Track project milestones, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation measures. 2. Site Coordination & Monitoring: - Frequently travel to project locations to monitor construction progress, contractor performance, and quality. - Address on-ground challenges such as terrain issues, access roads, equipment movement, and local clearances. - Ensure adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards during execution. 3. Stakeholder & Vendor Management: - Interface with turbine suppliers, EPC contractors, civil and electrical vendors for timely delivery and installation. - Ensure project deliverables from vendors and contractors are as per contract and technical specifications. - Resolve site-level conflicts and escalate bottlenecks in a structured manner. 4. MIS & Reporting: - Track and report project KPIs including schedule, cost, manpower, and equipment utilization. - Prepare regular updates and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. - Support audit, compliance, and documentation as required. Preferred Candidate Profile: - Education: B Tech Fulltime Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil). - Experience: 18-22 years in project execution, with minimum 10+ years in Wind energy. - Strong track record of delivering wind projects (100+ MW) across multiple Indian states. - Proven leadership in managing multi-site teams, vendors, and cross-functional coordination. - Willing to travel extensively and spend time at sites as per project needs. - Knowledge of land acquisition processes and government approvals is a plus.
