Job Description

The EBOP Lead O&M (AGM/DGM) for a renewable energy corporate office manages the enterprise-wide electrical Balance of Plant (eBoP) infrastructure. The role focuses on technical governance, high-voltage asset reliability, grid compliance, and lifecycle optimization across large-scale solar and wind portfolios. Role Purpose & Scope: Designation Level: Assistant General Manager (AGM) or Deputy General Manager (DGM) Location: Corporate Office Core Objective: Ensure safe, compliant, and maximum-uptime operation of HV/EHV substations, transmission lines, and switchyard systems across a multi-gigawatt renewable fleet. Key Responsibilities: Asset & Portfolio Governance: - Oversee end-to-end eBoP performance, reliability indices (MTBF/MTTR), and condition-based monitoring programs (THERMO, DGA, IR/PD) for numerous pooling substations. Grid & Regulatory Compliance: - Drive coordination with SLDC, RLDC, and CEA for smooth power evacuation, grid code compliance, outage approvals, and scheduled curtailment management. HOTO & Due Diligence: - Lead Handover-Takeover (HOTO) evaluations for new assets, checking as-built designs, protection settings, and closing punch-lists with internal EPC teams. Vendor & Contract Management: - Manage external contractors, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), spare inventory optimization, and major warranty claims. Statutory & Safety Standards: - Enforce zero-harm HSE protocols, CEIG approvals, regular statutory testing, and proper electrical safety audits across regional clusters. Candidate Requirements: Experience: - 13+ years of relevant working experience in power transmission, distribution, or utility-scale renewable energy (Solar/Wind) O&M, with at least 4 - 5 years in a senior corporate/portfolio management role. Domain Knowledge: - Deep expertise in EHV/HV substation equipment (transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear, breakers, relays), protection coordination, and state/central grid regulations.
