Job Description
Role Overview:
As a Manager in Project Development, you will be working on the origination and development of renewable energy projects, preparing them for CTU/STU tender submissions and C&I segment offering.
Your primary responsibility will be to advance site development to a Bid-Ready Stage (RTB) and Site Commercial Offering (SCO), which includes evaluating potential land parcels for wind, solar and hybrid projects, ensuring they meet our Standard Site Identification Checklist.
This role demands proactive site evaluations, securing necessary documentation for management approvals, and coordinating approvals and documentation for projects under development or in the site pipeline stage.
Project Identification and Development:
- Conduct thorough site feasibility studies and identify optimal locations for renewable energy projects based on wind resource and solar irradiation data.
- Ensure sites have appropriate/potential CTU/STU grid connectivity.
- Secure all necessary Permits, Licenses, and Approvals (PLAs) for site development and RE project setup, across various states.
Project Coordination and Management:
- Collaborate closely with departments such as Wind Resource Assessment, Land, Design & Engineering, Projects, ESIA and Legal.
- Oversee the complete project development cycle, ensuring projects reach a fully bid-ready and client ready offering status.
- Facilitate the drafting of MOUs and Term Sheets with developers and land aggregators, optimizing contract structures in consultation with Land, Legal, Project Finance, and Procurement departments.
Networking and Relationship Building:
- Develop and maintain a network of professional relationships with local developers, land aggregators, and regulatory authorities in various states to enhance project development opportunities.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Compile project development-related costs, including comparative analysis of proposals from developers and land aggregators.
- Manage regular reporting for internal progress tracking and update leadership on development timelines and milestones.
