Product Manager, AI Capabilities

In 2026, we launched Computer, the defining product for the new era of agentic AI. We’ve scaled beyond the millions of people using Perplexity every day for research, shopping, investing and curiosity into a new paradigm of using AI to transform knowledge into action.

Product Managers at Perplexity work closely with design and engineering, focusing on the foundational AI capabilities that make our products more powerful, extensible, collaborative, and useful.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication and writing skills, the ability to envision innovative technology, and a willingness to reimagine work to be more efficient and creative.

Ideal candidates have a passion for turning frontier AI capabilities into coherent products: in the application, please highlight the AI systems, platforms, or workflows you are most interested in advancing.

The Role The AI Capabilities team owns the product structures that turn intelligence into repeatable, composable experiences.

This includes Skills that teach Computer how to work, collaboration that helps people and agents build together, artifact generation that turns ideas into polished outputs, and Projects that organize context, knowledge, and ongoing work.

You will take these capabilities to the next level by identifying the highest-leverage user and platform problems, translating them into clear product direction, and partnering closely with design, engineering, data science, and research to deliver experiences that feel powerful, understandable, extensible, and dependable.

This role requires strong product judgment, deep user empathy, analytical rigor, fluency in agentic systems, and an exceptional ability to turn technical primitives into products people can use.
