Job Description

Technical Project Manager – Metronet POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead and coordinate complex, cross-functional projects within our service provider network environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in DWDM, IP/MPLS and PON networks, NOC operations, OSS/NMS/EMS systems, and automation frameworks, along with proven experience in project management methodologies.

This role is critical in driving initiatives related to disaster recovery, sparing strategies, root cause analysis, network tools /software development, and operational automation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Lead end-to-end project delivery for network and systems initiatives, including planning, execution, risk management, change control, and closure.

Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements, document outcomes, and maintain project artifacts, timelines, and tracking using tools such as MS Project and Jira.

Coordinate across engineering, NOC, IT, procurement, vendors, and leadership to align technical requirements, dependencies, and operational workflows. Collaborate with technology, automation, DevOps, and IT teams to ensure timely delivery and seamless integration of platforms, tools, and features.

Translate network architecture and engineering requirements into actionable project plans and execution strategies. Drive implementation and integration of NMS/EMS and OSS/BSS platforms, as well as monitoring, telemetry, and performance management solutions.

Oversee development and deployment of NOC tools, dashboards, automation scripts, and API-based integrations to support fault management and operational efficiency. Lead disaster recovery planning, testing, documentation, and escalation procedures for critical network and system components.
