Position : PMO Project Manager SAP S/4HANA Location : Remote - Middletown, PA Duration : December 7, 2026 June 30, 2027 Position Overview The client is seeking an experienced PMO Project Manager to lead and coordinate Wave 2 of a complex, enterprise-wide SAP S/4HANA enhancement initiative. The project involves a core business application and numerous interconnected systems, business processes, and stakeholders. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent workstreams, coordinating technical and business dependencies, maintaining project governance, and ensuring delivery aligns with strategic priorities, operational requirements, and established project management standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing enterprise IT projects, particularly SAP/ERP implementations and enhancements, along with strong leadership, communication, vendor management, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management skills. Key Responsibilities • Manage and coordinate internal and external teams working across multiple IT projects and workstreams. • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed integrated project plans and schedules, including task-level activities, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths. • Develop and maintain project cost plans, budget estimates, and financial forecasts throughout the project lifecycle. • Plan and optimize resource allocation, capacity planning, and resource availability across project activities. • Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, including roles, responsibilities, escalation procedures, and decision-making processes. • Coordinate with business owners, analysts, technical teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders to define and refine project scope. • Manage projects throughout the entire lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure. • Track project progress, deliverables, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies; proactively identify and implement mitigation strategies. • Manage project documentation, artifacts, approvals, and signoffs in accordance with established standards. • Coordinate project activities with System Integrator Project Managers and other interrelated initiatives across the PA Turnpike environment. • Maintain productive relationships with technology teams, business stakeholders, project sponsors, vendors, and clients. • Conduct lessons-learned sessions and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. • Adhere to the PA Turnpike PMO Playbook, project management procedures, templates, and established methodologies. Current SAP Environment The client operates a cloud-based, multi-tier, multi-client SAP environment that includes: • SAP S/4HANA • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) • SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) • SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) • SAP Datasphere • SAP Service and Asset Manager (SSAM) Integrated Enterprise Systems The environment includes integrations with the following internal and external systems: • SmartDocs Vendor Portal • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting, Onboarding, Employee Central Mini Master, and Compensation • OnBase Document Management • AgileAssets Signs, Tunnels, and Pavement/Road Asset Management • ServiceNow Change Management and Asset Tracking • Qlik Sense Data Analytics and Dashboarding • Board Operating Budget • Microsoft Dynamics 365 • Kahua Engineering Project Management • Financial Institutions • Benefit Providers • Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Required Qualifications • Minimum of 10 years of project or project management experience across projects of varying sizes and complexity. • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise IT projects, including integration, scope, schedule, communications, vendors, and risk. • Experience managing SAP/ERP enterprise business solution projects as a Project Manager. • Experience managing high-profile vendors across on-premises and cloud environments. • Strong experience with multi-year projects and complex, cross-functional initiatives. • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Microsoft Project Online , including the creation and maintenance of detailed integrated project plans. • Experience with project governance, budget management, resource planning, risk mitigation, and executive reporting. • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, leadership, conflict management, and negotiation skills. • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
