Video Editor

About the Role: As a Video Editor at 8 Views, you'll take raw footage and briefs and turn them into polished, scroll-stopping reels and short-form videos for our clients' social platforms. You'll work closely with copywriters, cinematographers, strategists, and account managers, from shaping the concept and hook to delivering the final cut. You'll also get to work across industries like real estate, healthcare, education, hospitality, F&B, wellness, and more, so no two projects look or feel the same. If you have a sharp eye for aesthetics and know what makes people stop scrolling, we'd like to see your work. What You'll Do : • Edit reels and short-form videos for our clients' social media channels • Work with copywriters, cinematographers, strategists, and account managers to turn a brief into a scroll-stopping video • Bring your own ideas to concepts, hooks, and storytelling, not just execute instructions • Stay on top of trends and turn them into on-brand content quickly • Add motion graphics, transitions, effects, captions, and sound design that make the edit feel premium • Produce multiple variations of a video (hooks, cuts, formats) so we can test what performs • Manage several projects at once and deliver on time, in the right formats and resolutions • Handle revisions cleanly and keep improving based on client and performance feedback Who We're Looking For : • 2+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably in an agency or brand content setting • A strong portfolio of short-form work that shows taste, pacing, and storytelling • Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects • Working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator • Solid understanding of current social trends and formats, especially Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts • High attention to detail and the discipline to hit tight deadlines • Comfort using AI tools to speed up your workflow Bonus points : • Final Cut Pro X or above • Experience with brand content or UGC-style videos • Basic shooting or ideation experience • Motion graphics or sound design skills Why you'll enjoy this role: • Work on varied brands and industries, so your portfolio grows fast • Collaborate directly with writers, cinematographers, and strategists on the full creative journey • Creative input is welcome, not just tolerated • A fast-moving team that values ownership
