Product Development Manager - GIS/ArcGIS

Role & responsibilities: - Development of re-usable, hardened, documented solutions that will be leveraged by our project teams and clients. - Develop proof-of-concepts, as requested. - Able to follow processes and procedures: daily standups, formatted commits, automated and manual code reviews, developing unit tests, following coding standards based on programming language, and documenting both code and processes. - The manager must also foster a culture of teamwork while mentoring, training, and empowering staff to build core competencies. - Should have exposure to GeoAI capabilities and the ability to leverage AI technologies in product development. Skillsets: - Deep technical understanding of the Esri product suite, with emphasis desired in one or more of the following: Configuring, deploying, and managing the Utility Network; Cloud solutions and deployment methodologies; Designing and deploying ArcGIS applications through ArcGIS Online or Portal; Solutions Architecture. - Experience leading in an environment working through technology transformation and related change management activities. - Experience in software architecture and applying various architectural patterns to improve sustainability. - Knowledge of utility-related technologies such as: ADMS/OMS systems, EAM systems (SAP/Maximo, etc), CIS systems, AMI, DERMS/DER. - Outstanding leadership skills; a blend of analytical, business acumen, and strategic skills to earn the confidence of staff and peers. - Strong interpersonal skills. - Familiarity with business hardware and software systems. - Expert understanding of utility business processes, including compliance, regulatory requirements, and field workflows. - Ability to create big-picture software solutions that are correlated to business needs. - Ability to present ideas in a clean, user-friendly way. Education and/or Experience: - Bachelors degree. - 10+ years of work experience in support of related utility consulting or large-scale process/technology projects. - 8+ years of work experience in support of product development or product management. - Successful track record of growing and leading effective and efficient projects. - Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies. - Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager. - Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle. - Proven ability to aid in the development of product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management. Technology: - Ability to work with industry standard development languages, including C#.NET, ASP.NET, SQL, VB.NET, and Python. Knowledge of .NET Core, MVC, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Node.js a plus. - Experience with ESRIs ArcGIS product stack. Knowledge of Schneider Electric's ArcFM/Designer, and ESRI's Utility Network (UN) a plus. - Working knowledge of commercial RDBMS and SQL, specifically Oracle and/or SQL Server. - GIS Database Design Experience with ArcGIS and other ESRI products is a plus.
