Job Description

: Head of Human Resources About the Role Looking for an experienced, hands-on HR professional to lead and manage the organisation's Human Resources function across the entire employee lifecycle, excluding primary ownership of Talent Acquisition. The individual will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies, strengthening organisational effectiveness, managing employee relations, driving performance and talent development, overseeing compensation and benefits, ensuring statutory compliance, and building a strong employee-centric culture. This role requires a business-oriented HR leader who can operate strategically while remaining closely involved in day-to-day execution. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a growing telecom or digital infrastructure organisation, partnering with senior management and business leaders to align HR practices with organisational objectives. Key Responsibilities - HR Strategy and Business Partnering: Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the organisation's business plans, growth objectives and workforce requirements. - HR Operations and Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee end-to-end HR operations, including onboarding, employee documentation, confirmation, transfers, promotions, employee movements and exit management. - Performance Management and Talent Development: Design and manage the annual performance appraisal and review cycle, including goal setting, mid-year reviews and year-end assessments. - Compensation, Benefits and Rewards: Manage compensation and benefits processes, including salary revisions, annual increments, promotions, variable pay and incentive structures. - Employee Relations and Engagement: Build a positive, inclusive and performance-oriented workplace culture. - Learning and Organisational Development: Identify training and development requirements in consultation with business leaders and functional heads. - HR Policies, Labour Law and Statutory Compliance: Develop, review and update HR policies, employee handbooks, service rules and internal procedures. - HR Systems, Analytics and Governance: Manage HRMS implementation, maintenance and adoption, along with attendance, leave and employee data management systems. - Administrative and Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate with Finance on payroll, compensation budgets, employee cost planning and HR-related financial matters. - Limited Talent Acquisition Support: Provide inputs on workforce planning, role requirements, organisation structure and hiring priorities. Candidate Profile - 10+ years of progressive experience across multiple HR functions, with substantial hands-on responsibility for HR operations, HR business partnering and employee lifecycle management. - Experience working with a telecom company, telecommunications infrastructure provider, technology-led startup, digital infrastructure business or a comparable high-growth B2B organisation. - Demonstrated experience independently managing several HR verticals, rather than specialising exclusively in one HR function. - Strong knowledge of performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, HR policies, labour law compliance, employee engagement and organisational development. - A postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, such as an MBA/PGDM in HR or an equivalent qualification, would be preferred. Preferred Industry Background - Telecom operators and telecommunications infrastructure companies. - Fibre, broadband, network infrastructure and digital connectivity businesses. - Technology-led startups and high-growth B2B organisations. - Infrastructure and engineering businesses with complex, multi-location workforces. Key Success Factors The successful candidate should be able to independently own the HR function beyond Talent Acquisition, establish scalable HR processes, strengthen employee experience and performance management, ensure compliance, and act as a dependable HR partner to business leadership.
