Software Engineer @ Synechron

For one of our Clients operating in the global financial services sector, we are seeking talented professionals to join long-term strategic initiatives. As a Software Engineer in FSA Tooling, you’ll work on modern, web-based engineering solutions with a strong focus on agentic application engineering. You’ll design and build capabilities that integrate data and workflows across our architecture ecosystem, using technologies such as Node.js, Java, relational databases (particularly PostgreSQL) and web UI frameworks. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who goes beyond writing code—able to architect solutions, orchestrate and manage autonomous AI agents that build, test and deploy software, and embed robust integration patterns (e.g., MCP and tool/function calling) to ensure reliability in production. You’ll collaborate closely with architects, platform teams and engineers globally, helping us deliver smarter tooling and better outcomes, faster Ideal candidate should have: • • Strong software engineering capability in Node.js and/or Java • Relational database expertise, particularly PostgreSQL (data modelling, query optimisation) • Web UI development experience (modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks) • Agentic application engineering knowledge, including orchestration of autonomous AI agents • Integration pattern expertise (e.g., MCP, tool/function calling, API design) • Production engineering mindset (security, resilience, performance, observability, automated testing) • Solution design and architecture skills for internal platforms and tooling Strong English communication skills and stakeholder collaboration in a global environment Desirable Skills / Preferred Qualifications: • Lates agentic engineering practises.
