Plant HR Head - Manufacturing

Position: Plant HR Head Location: West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh. Reporting To: Corporate Head - HR Experience: 20 - 22 Years Industry: Large-scale Manufacturing / Process Manufacturing Role Purpose: To lead the complete HR function for a large manufacturing plant, ensuring effective people management, employee engagement, HR operations and industrial relations while aligning plant HR practices with the corporate HR strategy. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the complete HR function for the plant and act as the key HR partner to the Plant Leadership Team. - Manage HR operations including manpower planning, recruitment, talent management, performance management, employee engagement and HR policies. - Handle Industrial Relations (IR) and employee relations matters, with sound knowledge of applicable labour laws and statutory requirements. - Maintain a positive employee-relations environment and proactively address employee grievances and workplace issues. - Partner with business/plant leadership on workforce planning, productivity, organisation structure and people-related initiatives. - Drive employee engagement, capability development, succession planning and retention initiatives. - Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements and company HR policies. - Work closely with corporate HR/CHRO on implementation of HR strategy and key people initiatives. - Lead and mentor the plant HR team and ensure effective delivery of HR services. - Support change-management and organisational-development initiatives within the plant. Candidate Profile: - 20 - 22 years of overall HR experience, preferably from a large manufacturing organisation/large-scale plant environment. - Strong experience in Plant HR + HR Operations, with good exposure to Industrial Relations. - Experience handling HR for a large employee base/large-scale manufacturing plant. - Should have practical knowledge of labour laws, employee relations and statutory compliance. - Union-management experience is not mandatory; however, the candidate should have sound IR knowledge and experience handling employee relations. - Strong stakeholder-management and people-leadership skills.
