Full Stack Web Developer - E-commerce & Digital Platforms

Salary: £40,000 - 45,000 per year Requirements: • Commercial experience developing websites or web applications. • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript. • Experience with a modern front-end framework or development stack. • Back-end development experience using an appropriate server-side technology. • Experience working with databases and data-driven applications. • Experience developing or consuming REST APIs. • Understanding of web authentication and user account management. • Experience using Git or another source-control system. • Experience deploying and supporting applications in a production environment. • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Ability and willingness to learn and take ownership of unfamiliar technologies. • Excitement about AI-supported development and willingness to learn new AI technologies and capabilities. • Comfort working across different parts of a solution, independently when needed, and collaboratively with developers, IT and other business teams. • Comfort working with hosting technologies and willingness to develop knowledge of cloud hosting, deployment and SSO; infrastructure expertise is not required. • Advantageous experience or exposure to some of the following: Agentic AI harnesses such as Claude Code or Codex; CMS platforms such as WordPress or EmDash; Cloudflare; e-commerce and transactional websites; payment gateways and third-party integrations; Azure, AWS or other cloud hosting; Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD; SSO; OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect or SAML; CI/CD and automated deployment; DNS, SSL/TLS certificates and web hosting; web application security; and ERP, CRM or other business-system integrations. • Agentic AI experience: 1 year preferred. • Full-stack development experience: 1 year preferred. • United Kingdom work authorisation required. • Ability to reliably commute to Wednesbury WS10 7DE or plan to relocate before starting, preferred. Responsibilities: • Develop, maintain and improve our company websites and web applications. • Develop front-end and back-end functionality. • Continue developing and improving our online shop, including its functionality, performance and customer experience. • Develop and maintain integrations between our systems and internal or external systems using APIs. • Maintain and develop application hosting and deployment environments. • Work with our internal IT team on hosting, security, DNS, certificates and infrastructure requirements. • Maintain databases and data integrations associated with web applications. • Use Git/source control and appropriate development and deployment processes. • Investigate and resolve issues affecting production websites and services. • Consider security, performance, maintainability and scalability when developing functionality. • Work with stakeholders across our business to understand requirements and turn them into practical technical solutions. • Maintain appropriate technical documentation for the systems developed and supported. The role initially focuses on our online shop and customer-facing digital experience, with opportunities to work on APIs, authentication and SSO. You will work alongside our Software, Electronics and IT teams, with internal support for infrastructure, networking and security, and have scope to influence our digital platforms and take increasing ownership of them. The position is permanent and full-time, primarily on-site, with hybrid working arrangements potentially available for the right candidate.
