Senior Full Stack Developer

A print company based in Selby, Johannesburg that provides secure digital and print communication solutions in South Africa, including data protection, document management and fulfilment are currently seeking a Senior Full stack Developer. The position is for an experienced, self-driven and strategic-thinking Full Stack Developer who enjoys a hands-on role solving complex problems. Design, develop, test, and maintain end to-end software solutions across the company’s technology landscape. Working within a Microsoft-centric environment, the Full Stack Developer builds robust backend services and integrations as well as user-facing web applications, ensuring solutions are secure, performant, and maintainable. The role collaborates closely with Solutions Architect, Project Managers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes on time. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Your core role will be to: Software Development of new and existing software: Develop, test, and maintain full stack applications using C#, .NET (Framework/Core), and related Microsoft technologies. Backend Services & APIs: Build and maintain services and APIs, including REST and SOAP-based endpoints; create reusable components and libraries. Integration Development: Implement and support API integrations with internal systems, third-party platforms, and client environments; use tools such as SOAP UI for testing where applicable. Frontend Development: Build and maintain web front-ends using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular and relevant frameworks (as applicable in the team environment). Database Development: Design and optimise Microsoft SQL Server schemas, queries, stored procedures, and data access layers; ensure performance and data integrity. Code Quality: Apply engineering best practices including unit testing, code reviews, secure coding, and adherence to development standards. Assist in performing Alpha Testing on all developments. Identify bottlenecks, bugs and develop solutions to these problems. Debugging & Support: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects and integration issues across environments; support root cause analysis. Assist and support Design and the QA teams during the various stages of the development lifecycle. Collaboration: Work with Solution Architects and delivery teams to refine technical designs and estimate work; contribute to sprint ceremonies as required. Communicate directly with peers, managers, and IT support while leading development to a completed and successful solution. Documentation: Maintain technical documentation for solutions, APIs, configurations, and deployment notes. Release & Deployment Support: Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment activities; assist with release planning and post-implementation stabilisation. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Related IT degree IT Degree Minimum of 5 years relevant experience developing large systems in a fast-paced environment. Mobile app development experience (SDK) Omni-channel communication experience an advantage BUS Components Load Composed Distribute KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Familiar with the following technology stack: Web: Microsoft ASP.Net, MVC, Java Script, HTML5, Blazor/React/MAUI (optional) Middleware: Visual C# / C++ on latest .NET and/or .NET Core Frameworks Data: Transact SQL for MS SQL, Oracle/Sybase/MySQL/PostgreSQL (optional) OOP Architecture API & Integration: Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture, API design (REST/SOAP), and integration patterns. XML and JSON LINQ and Entity Framework SDLC: Understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile delivery practices. Quality & Security: Attention to detail with a quality mindset; understanding of secure coding practices. Test-Driven Development Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Tooling: Familiarity with Azure DevOps/Git, CI/CD, MS Teams, and documentation tools is advantageous. CAPABILITIES TO ACQUIRE AND EHANCE: Azure experience ASP.Net Core. Good understanding of N-Tier Development. SOA Architecture. Test-Driven Development. JavaScript libraries and frameworks (ReactJS).
