Duties: • Design, develop, test and implement high-quality software applications. • Translate business and technical requirements into robust technical solutions. • Develop and maintain applications using C# and .NET. • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and web services. • Work with SQL Server, including database development, queries and optimisation. • Develop modern web solutions using HTML5 and CSS. • Contribute to front-end development, including Blazor. • Participate in the full SDLC, from requirements through to deployment and support. • Work within Agile/Scrum/Kanban development environments. • Identify and resolve technical issues and production problems. • Contribute to technical design, architecture and development standards. • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices. • Write and maintain automated/unit tests. • Work closely with Business Analysts, Architects, QA and other stakeholders. • Mentor and support junior developers where required. • Identify opportunities to improve application performance, quality and efficiency. Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: • Matric (Grade 12) • Relevant degree, diploma or IT/software development qualification. Experience: • 6–8 years' software development experience. • Strong experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core. • Experience with SQL Server. • Strong experience developing REST APIs / Web APIs. • Experience with HTML5 and CSS. • Experience with Blazor or comparable modern web technologies. • Solid understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle. • Experience working within Agile, Scrum or Kanban environments. • Experience with unit testing and software quality practices. • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software development principles. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Advantageous • Experience with Azure / Azure DevOps. • CI/CD and DevOps experience. • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as xUnit or NUnit. • Experience within insurance or financial services. • Experience with cloud technologies, microservices or enterprise application environments. • Previous experience mentoring or guiding developers.
