Job Description

Project Manager / Business Analyst – Finance Technology Role Overview This is a hands-on role for a flexible, team-oriented Project Manager with strong Business Analysis capabilities. The ideal candidate has experience with Agile project management, Scrum ceremonies, requirements gathering, Jira, Confluence, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and developers across multiple regions to gather and document requirements, manage project timelines, facilitate Agile meetings, track deliverables, and support application delivery. This role requires an excellent communicator who can work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced financial technology environment. Key Responsibilities • Lead Agile and Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, planning sessions, backlog refinement, and stakeholder meetings. • Manage and maintain project and development activities using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Rally, and other Agile delivery platforms. • Gather, analyze, document, and refine business and functional requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and development teams. • Create and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, project documentation, and delivery timelines. • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, issue tracking, stakeholder communication, and resolution follow-up. • Work closely with developers and technology teams to clarify requirements, track progress, and support successful delivery. • Provide regular project status updates, including milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery timelines. • Identify project risks and issues early, recommend practical solutions, and drive remediation through completion. • Coordinate with geographically distributed teams and stakeholders across multiple regions. • Use approved AI and automation tools to improve project delivery and support processes while following applicable security and data-handling requirements. • Support resource planning, budgeting, reporting, and project governance activities as required. • Assist with data analysis and reporting using tools such as SQL and Microsoft Excel. Requirements • 7+ years of experience in project management, business analysis, technology delivery, or a related field within banking or financial services. • Experience supporting financial technology, regulatory, reporting, or finance-related applications. • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies and DevOps ways of working. • Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Rally, or similar Agile/project management tools. • Experience with project management and reporting tools such as Microsoft Project or similar platforms. • Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, user stories, process documentation, and UAT coordination. • Experience working with geographically distributed development and business teams. • Strong stakeholder management, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. • Hands-on experience with databases and data analysis using SQL and Excel. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver effectively in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have • Experience with financial products, including derivatives, fixed income, or hedging structures. • Knowledge of financial reporting, regulatory reporting, Product Control, or General Ledger processes. • Experience with data flows between front-office, middle-office, and back-office systems. • Familiarity with Profit & Loss (P&L) systems and financial reporting platforms. • Experience with cloud-based reporting or analytics tools. • Experience with project resource planning and budgeting. • Familiarity with AI tools used for business analysis, project management, or technology delivery. • Knowledge of financial regulations and reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
