Vice President - Finance & Accounting Transition - Banking/Financial Services

VP Finance & Accounting Transition Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Finance & Accounting leader with 12 - 20 years of experience to lead and manage large-scale finance process transition and transformation initiatives. The role will be responsible for overseeing transition programs, reviewing process readiness, driving operational excellence, and ensuring smooth migration of finance processes across teams and locations. Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end Finance & Accounting process transition and transformation initiatives. - Manage transition planning, execution, governance, and post-transition stabilization. - Review existing finance processes and identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and improvement. - Establish transition frameworks, timelines, milestones, and governance mechanisms. - Oversee transition of processes including Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, FP&A, and other finance functions. - Conduct transition readiness assessments and identify operational, process, and technology risks. - Review and monitor transition performance against agreed SLAs, KPIs, and business objectives. - Drive process documentation, SOP development, controls, and knowledge-transfer activities. - Collaborate with finance leadership, business stakeholders, technology teams, and transition teams. - Manage transition-related escalations and ensure timely resolution of critical issues. - Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives across finance operations. - Ensure compliance with financial controls, governance frameworks, and organizational policies. - Lead and mentor finance transformation and transition teams. - Prepare management reports and present transition progress, risks, and performance to senior leadership. Required Candidate Profile: - 12 - 20 years of experience in Finance & Accounting, Finance Transformation, Shared Services, or Global Business Services. - Proven experience managing finance process transitions and transition reviews. - Strong experience in finance transformation, process migration, or large-scale transition programs. - Good understanding of core Finance & Accounting processes. - Experience managing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders. - Strong knowledge of process governance, controls, SLAs, KPIs, and operational excellence.
