Job Title: Engineering Supervisor - Physical Electrical Location: Remote (U. S. based) FLSA Classification Exempt Job Description: Orbital Engineering , Inc. is currently seeking an Engineering Supervisor – Physical Electrical to support our Substation Engineering group for a REMOTE WORK position.

Primary responsibilities include leading a team of engineers and designers in the design, development, installation, and maintenance of electrical substations. Responsible for development of substation design packages for clients across the US.

Projects range in size, complexity, and voltage class from small distribution equipment upgrades to large transmission projects.

Essential Functions Leadership and Team Management o Lead a small team of designers in the design, development, installation, and maintenance of electrical substations o Manage the execution of physical design projects of all sizes, including resource planning, risk management, and project delivery o Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and manage career development for designers Budget and Resource Management o Prepare or oversee the preparation of cost estimates and schedules for physical design projects o Allocate direct reports effectively to meet project demands o Work closely with project managers and design managers to ensure that the portion of the project that is assigned is executed efficiently and to high standards o Discuss any staffing needs with design managers as they arise Technical Expertise o Provide technical leadership and mentorship to direct reports, fostering professional growth and ensuring best practices are followed o Oversee the preparation of physical designs o Ensure the timely resolution of design issues, providing expert troubleshooting and problem-solving support Client and Stakeholder Interaction o Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong communication and coordination throughout project lifecycles o Collaborate with internal stakeholder
