Principal Analyst - Infrastructure/Cloud/Security & Governance

Role Overview: Enterprises are transforming at a never-seen-before pace and require significant enhancements to their IT environments to enable these business changes. Consequently, IT environments are becoming complex with hybrid and multi-cloud constructs, and the perpetual risk of cybersecurity threats. To help enterprises make educated decisions, we are expanding our coverage of the evolving IT infrastructure, cloud, security, and governance space significantly. This market-facing role is a part of this expansion, and includes elements of research agenda creation, research delivery, and market education. Responsibilities: - Represent the firm and share point of view around the evolution of IT infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, governance and related domains in external conferences, boardroom presentations, industry events and public videos - Engage with senior leadership teams and CXOs of end user, service provider, tech product and platform companies to advise them around future roadmaps and strategies - Delivery ownership of a Research Product that includes an annual calendar of research artefacts (market reports, white papers and points of views). This includes significant writing to be done directly by the candidate - Conduct in-depth research by directly participating in briefings and in-person discussions with practice and business leaders (including CXOs) at end user, service provider, tech product and platform companies - Establish innovative research processes, methodologies and frameworks for structuring and analysing the data to develop impactful insights at a quality that is repeatable and is continually improved - Provide research and analytical support around intelligence covering macroeconomic, sectoral trends, competitor information, industry analysis, financial information, qualitative and quantitative information assessment - Assist with project management for a new business research product with exposure to the full product development cycle Qualifications: - MBA or equivalent from Tier 1 institutes. 6 - 14 years of experience in research, strategy or consulting domains - Candidates with significant experience with Big 4 or other strategy consulting firms. Previous work with leading tech industry analyst firms will be an advantage - Strong aspiration to be known as a prominent voice with a significant impact on how enterprises apply technology to become future-ready - Excellent communication and presentation skills - both written and verbal (English) - Significant exposure and interest in emerging technologies, with an inherent curiosity to analyse how they will impact the world - Strong sense of ownership and adherence to quality and timelines - Exceptional quantitative and data interpretation skills - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment across multiple time zones or geographies
