CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO) : 500 Cr+ Electrical & Engineering Manufacturing Organisation | Kolkata Location: Kolkata, West Bengal Reporting: MD / Board Industry: Electrical & Engineering Manufacturing Business Size: Approx. 500 Cr Mandate: IPO + Complete Finance Leadership IPO Size: 700 - 1,000 Cr THE OPPORTUNITY: LEAD, CREATE, APPLY & INDEPENDENTLY MANAGE THE COMPANY'S 700 - 1,000 CRORE IPO THROUGH FINAL LISTING. CRITICAL MANDATE: This is not a conventional Finance & Accounts leadership role. We are looking for a business-focused CFO who can partner with the MD/Board to drive profitable growth, stronger cash flows, capital efficiency and financial discipline across a growing manufacturing organisation. The CFO will connect Finance with Operations, Commercial, Manufacturing, Procurement and Business Strategy - turning financial insight into measurable business outcomes. NON-NEGOTIABLE IPO EXPERIENCE: Candidates must have independently handled an IPO process end-to-end through final listing. - Own the company's 700 - 1,000 Cr IPO mandate from planning and preparation through application/execution and final listing. - Coordinate and drive the IPO work-stream with the MD/Board and relevant external stakeholders. - Candidates whose exposure is limited to supporting an IPO, rather than independently leading the process through completion, should not apply. CORE CFO RESPONSIBILITIES: - Profitability & EBITDA: Improve gross margin, EBITDA and PBT; optimise pricing, product mix, costs and productivity. - Working Capital & Cash Flow: Control receivables, inventory and payables; improve cash conversion and operating cash flow. - Treasury & Banking: Lead liquidity, cash forecasting, banking relationships, WC limits, LC/BG and term loans. - Cost & Manufacturing Finance: Build product/plant cost visibility and drive controllable cost reduction. - Budgeting & Business Planning: Lead annual budgets, rolling forecasts and budget-vs-actual reviews. - Capex & Capital Allocation: Evaluate ROI/IRR/payback and ensure disciplined capital deployment. - Commercial Finance: Support pricing, customer profitability, credit discipline and tender/project costing. - Reporting, MIS & Analytics: Deliver accurate, timely, decision-oriented MIS and dashboards to MD/Board. - Tax, Compliance & Governance: Strengthen statutory, tax, ROC and audit compliance. - Controls, ERP & Risk: Strengthen controls, ERP utilisation, automation, data accuracy and risk management. STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Strategic Business Partnering: Partner with MD/CEO on expansion, new products, pricing and business strategy. - Capital & Investments: Financially evaluate strategic proposals, M&A/JV opportunities, investments and capital allocation. - Finance Transformation: Drive ERP, automation, financial dashboards and faster, higher-quality decision support. - Team Leadership: Build a high-performance Finance function, develop second-line leadership and establish a performance-driven culture. SUCCESS MEASURES: Revenue Growth | EBITDA Margin | PBT Margin | Operating Cash Flow | Cash Conversion Cycle | DSO | Inventory Days | Interest Cost | ROCE | Budget vs Actual IDEAL CFO PROFILE: Qualified CA Post qualified with Minimum 15 Years of Exp, last 5 Years in IPO + Complete Finance Leadership. - Senior finance leader combining Strategic Finance + Manufacturing Finance + Commercial Acumen + Treasury + Working Capital + Business Partnership. - Proven end-to-end IPO leader with independent ownership of an IPO process through final listing; this is the primary selection criterion. - Strong ability to move beyond accounting and compliance and take ownership of financial performance, value creation and capital efficiency. - Strong stakeholder-management capability with the MD/Board, banking ecosystem and external professional stakeholders. End-to-end IPO Leadership: Must have independently led an IPO process through final listing. 2. IPO Scale: Experience relevant to a 700 - 1,000 Cr IPO mandate is strongly required. 3. CFO / Finance Leadership: Strong ownership of profitability, cash flow, treasury, manufacturing finance, controls and governance. 4. Business Orientation: Ability to partner with MD/Board and influence strategic business decisions. 5. Manufacturing Exposure: Relevant experience in Electrical / Engineering / Manufacturing environment preferred. APPLICATION NOTE: This is a highly strategic CXO mandate.
