Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect - Databricks to join our Databricks Practice. This is a customer-facing consulting role where you will engage with CDOs, Data Architects, and Engineering Leaders to design and implement scalable Lakehouse solutions on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping customers modernize data platforms, migrate legacy EDW systems, and adopt advanced Databricks capabilities including Lakeflow, Unity Catalog, Serverless Compute, AI/BI, and GenAI solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Lead architecture discussions with enterprise customers from discovery to implementation. - Design end-to-end Databricks Lakehouse solutions covering ingestion, transformation, governance, analytics, and machine learning. - Drive EDW modernization and migration programs from platforms such as Teradata, Oracle, Netezza, Hadoop, Snowflake, Synapse, SAS, and Greenplum. Architect and implement: 1. Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines (LDP/DLT) 2. Lakeflow Connect 3. Unity Catalog 4. Serverless Compute 5. Databricks Asset Bundles (DAB) 6. Databricks SQL & AI/BI Dashboards 7. MLflow, Model Serving, and Mosaic AI - Conduct workshops, PoCs, architecture reviews, and executive presentations. - Create HLDs, LLDs, reference architectures, migration roadmaps, and implementation runbooks. - Collaborate with Sales, Delivery, and Databricks teams for proposals, bid responses, and solutioning. - Mentor Data Engineers and Architects on Databricks best practices. Required Qualifications: - 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, or Data Platform Architecture. - 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks in a consulting or customer-facing role. - Experience leading large-scale Data Warehouse Modernization or Lakehouse Migration programs. - Strong understanding of: 1. Databricks Data Intelligence Platform 2. Delta Lake 3. Spark Architecture & Performance Tuning 4. Unity Catalog 5. Medallion Architecture 6. Data Governance Frameworks - Strong SQL and PySpark expertise. - Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms. - Knowledge of networking, IAM, and storage services such as ADLS Gen2, S3, or GCS. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Willingness to travel for customer engagements. Mandatory Skills: - Databricks, PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Lakehouse Architecture, Data Warehousing, Cloud Platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), Data Migration & Modernization, Performance Optimization, Data Governance. Preferred Skills: - Databricks Certifications: 1. Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional 2. Databricks Certified Machine Learning Professional 3. Databricks Certified Solutions Architect Professional - Experience with: Terraform, Databricks Asset Bundles (DAB), MLOps & GenAI, Vector Search, Mosaic AI, MLflow, DR & High Availability Architectures. - Knowledge of governance tools: Collibra, Purview, Immuta, Alation. - Experience across BFSI, Insurance, Retail, Manufacturing, or Healthcare domains.
