AI Consultant - AI Platform - Freelance

Context Welcome to the AI Platform team. We are the core engineering engine driving the next generation of Artificial Intelligence within a leading corporate & investment banking division. We are currently spearheading the establishment of the Agentic Project Center of Excellence (CoE). Our mission is to move beyond static automation and build a sophisticated ecosystem of autonomous, reasoning agents capable of navigating complex financial workflows. As part of this team, you will not just be building traditional APIs; you will be architecting the "intelligence backbone"—the high-performance, scalable, and resilient infrastructure that allows Large Language Models (LLMs) and multi-agent systems to interact with the bank’s enterprise data and tools. Missions • Translate the high-level vision of the Agentic CoE into a coherent, actionable product roadmap that balances long-term platform scalability with immediate high-value AI use cases. • Adapt the roadmap to meet the needs of other projects within the CoE by understanding their perspectives. • Lead project planning in a "high-velocity" environment using adaptive planning techniques to manage the inherent uncertainty of AI development. • Act as the primary interface between Data Scientists (researchers), Backend/AI Engineers (builders), and Business Stakeholders (users), translating complex technical capabilities into clear business value. • Prioritize complex technical debt, platform infrastructure (Kubernetes, Kafka), and cutting-edge agentic features (LangGraph/CrewAI, ADK integrations) to maximize ROI and speed-to-market. • Define sophisticated acceptance criteria for non-deterministic systems in collaboration with QE and Data Science teams, focusing on accuracy, safety, and agentic reasoning quality. • Partner with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure every agentic workflow is designed with "guardrails-by-design," meeting strict banking regulations (GDPR, AI Act, etc.). • Define and monitor sophisticated KPIs beyond uptime, including model performance, agentic task completion rates, cost-per-inference, and actual business process automation impact. Tools & Environment • Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies • Kubernetes, Kafka • LangGraph, CrewAI, ADK integrations • Large Language Models (LLMs) and multi-agent systems • AI lifecycle management and MLOps • Enterprise software and large-scale distributed systems Working Conditions • Senior Product Owner role with over 10 years of experience • Focus on AI Platform and Agentic CoE initiatives within a global Tier-1 investment bank environment • Strategic role bridging AI research and banking operations • High-velocity, rapidly evolving technological landscape requiring adaptive planning and leadership Requirements • Minimum 10+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Technical Project Management • Proven track record delivering complex, large-scale enterprise software solutions , ideally within FinTech , Banking , or highly regulated industries • Deep conceptual understanding of the AI lifecycle (from model training to agentic orchestration) to communicate effectively with engineers • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through periods of extreme technical volatility and rapid market shifts • Strategic communication skills to present a vision to executives and provide granular requirements to developers • Decisiveness in making high-stakes prioritization decisions • Resilience with a calm, structured approach to managing projects in evolving technology environments • Collaborative leadership focused on building psychological safety within cross-functional teams
