Dentalkart - Category & Ad Monetisation Lead - IIM/ISB/XLRI/FMS/MDI/SPJIMR/IIFT

About the job: We are looking for an experienced Category & Ad Monetisation Lead to own the end-to-end category P&L while driving growth, profitability, pricing strategy, promotions, and retail media monetization. This leadership role will work across Category, Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Operations to maximize revenue, improve margins, and build a scalable advertising business for the platform. - Own the complete Category P&L, including revenue, profitability, and contribution margins. - Develop category growth strategies, assortment planning, pricing, and promotional initiatives. - Manage pricing, discounts, and promotional calendars while maintaining profitability. - Build and scale the retail media and ad monetization business through supplier-funded advertising opportunities. - Collaborate with Merchandising and Performance Marketing teams to improve category growth and conversion. - Analyze sales, customer demand, and market trends to identify growth opportunities. - Improve inventory health by minimizing stock-outs and excess inventory. - Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, and Customer Experience teams to resolve issues impacting revenue and customer satisfaction. - Monitor category performance and implement data-driven business decisions. - Establish scalable processes to improve commercial performance and long-term growth. Requirements: - MBA/PGDM from a Tier-1 institute (IIM, ISB, XLRI, FMS, MDI, SPJIMR, IIFT, or equivalent). - 7 - 10 years of experience in Category Management, Commercial Management, Business Management, or P&L ownership within E-commerce, Marketplace, or Retail. - Proven experience managing category revenue, pricing, margins, and promotions. - Strong commercial, analytical, and financial acumen. - Experience working with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Supply Chain, Merchandising, and Operations. - Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
