Job Description
Business Strategy & Growth:
- Develop and implement business strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities across domestic and international markets.
- Prepare annual business plans, sales forecasts, and growth strategies.
- Drive market expansion through new customer acquisition, strategic partnerships, and channel development.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify future growth opportunities.
Sales & Business Development:
- Lead the sales and business development function for the Oleo Chemicals portfolio.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing contracts, and long-term supply arrangements.
- Expand export business by identifying new markets and strengthening existing customer relationships.
- Ensure achievement of sales targets while maintaining healthy profit margins.
Commercial & Financial Management:
- Prepare annual budgets and monitor business performance against financial targets.
- Optimize pricing strategies, cost structures, and profitability.
- Monitor receivables and ensure timely collections while maintaining healthy cash flow.
- Review sales performance and implement corrective measures whenever required.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Build, lead, and mentor high-performing sales and business development teams.
- Define performance objectives, monitor KPIs, and conduct periodic performance reviews.
- Encourage a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer focus.
- Support talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Quality Assurance, and R&D teams to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements.
- Support new product development initiatives based on market demand and customer feedback.
- Ensure timely delivery, inventory optimization, and operational excellence.
Customer & Market Management:
- Strengthen relationships with key domestic and international customers.
- Represent the organization at industry exhibitions, conferences, and customer meetings.
- Resolve critical customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Develop customer retention and account growth strategies.
Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Identify business risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Promote ethical business practices and maintain high standards of corporate governance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- MBA in Marketing, International Business, or Finance is preferred.
- 15 - 20+ years of relevant experience in Oleo Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Surfactants, Fatty Acids, Fatty Alcohols, Personal Care Ingredients, or related chemical industries.
