Cost and Operations Analyst Job Details: Location: Chennai Job family: Finance Sub business area: Finance Business Partners, Operations Reports to: Finance Manager Financial responsibility: Revenue scope of approximately 120 million Salary range: 26-35 lakh per annum Notice period: Up to 60 days Candidate location preference: Currently based in Chennai Role Overview: BSRI Solutions is recruiting a Cost and Operations Analyst for a manufacturing business. You will work with plant operations and finance teams to turn production and cost data into clear insights that support planning, performance improvement, and investment decisions. Key Responsibilities : - Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts, including standard costs and production overhead assumptions. - Review monthly plant financial and operational results; explain variances, cost drivers and risks, and recommend actions. - Maintain performance dashboards, support management reviews and improve reporting processes and tools. - Support inventory valuation and cash flow analysis, and manage the financial assessment of capital projects. - Quantify the impact of cost improvement initiatives and align cost calculations with finance and operations teams. - Partner with production, maintenance, supply chain and finance colleagues while following safety, quality and internal control requirements. Qualifications and Skills: - Master's degree in finance, management control or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Plant controlling or manufacturing finance experience, ideally around three years. - Proficiency with Excel, SAP, BPC or Analysis for Office, and Power BI; familiarity with AI tools is an advantage. - Accuracy, sound analytical judgment and the ability to explain findings clearly to varied stakeholders. - Ability to manage priorities and deadlines independently; English proficiency is expected, and additional languages are an advantage.
