IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS/APPSW)

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.

To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. GS-09: For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-07.

Specialized experience for this position includes: Assisting with gathering, reviewing, or documenting business, functional, or technical requirements for information systems, applications, or software components.

AND Supporting the design, development, configuration, testing, implementation, or maintenance of application software components or system features using established methods and procedures.

AND Assisting with troubleshooting routine application, system, or production support issues by reviewing logs, error reports, defects, or other technical information and documenting or testing potential solutions.

AND Supporting Agile, DevSecOps, software testing, automation, or product delivery activities, such as developing test cases, documenting results, tracking work items, preparing technical documentation, or assisting with deployment activities. GS-11: For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS- 09.
