HR Manager (Contract - EPC - Construction - Petrochemical - Saldanha Bay, Cape Town)

Introduction Our client, a petroleum storage and terminal development company, is looking to hire an HR Manager to join their growing team based in Saldanha Bay, Cape Town. This is forecasted to be a 30 month project-based contract. Desired Experience & Qualification • • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Labour Law, Business Administration, Psychology or a related discipline. • Minimum 8–12 years’ HR experience, preferably on major construction, oil and gas, petrochemical, infrastructure, terminal, tank farm, or heavy industrial projects. • Experience working within an Owner’s team, EPC contractor, project management consultant, or large construction environment is highly advantageous. • Strong working knowledge of South African labour legislation, including the Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Act, and related statutory requirements. • Proven experience managing labour relations, grievances, disciplinary processes, workforce mobilisation, site-based HR operations, and contractor workforce oversight. • Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, including contractors, subcontractors, labour forums, community representatives, and government bodies.
