AI-Native Engineering Lead (Full Stack)

Your Role As an AI-Native Engineering Lead , you will serve as the technical leader for engineering teams, driving both technical excellence and delivery success. You will remain actively hands-on while leading the design and development of scalable software solutions. During the early stages of projects, you will independently drive technical implementation before building and mentoring a larger engineering team as the project scales. Working closely with clients, stakeholders, and engineering teams, you will lead technical decision-making while embedding AI-assisted software development into everyday engineering practices. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Delivery • Own the technical direction and roadmap for software engineering projects. • Lead architecture design and full-stack solution development. • Provide hands-on coding support and establish engineering best practices. • Conduct architecture and code reviews. • Drive engineering quality through automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability. • Ensure project timelines, quality standards, and delivery objectives are achieved. AI-First Engineering Leadership • Champion AI-assisted software development across engineering teams. • Define best practices for AI-assisted coding, testing, documentation, and software delivery. • Establish standards for:Prompt engineeringContext engineeringAI output validationSecure AI coding practicesAI-generated code review • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend practical adoption strategies. • Coach engineering teams on responsible and effective AI usage. Client Engagement & Business Growth • Work closely with clients to understand business requirements and design technical solutions. • Support pre-sales activities including solution design, technical proposals, estimations, and presentations. • Contribute reusable frameworks, engineering assets, and best practices to improve delivery efficiency. • Represent the organisation through technical thought leadership and innovation initiatives. Requirements Experience • 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience. • Proven experience leading engineering teams. • Strong expertise in full-stack development. • Preferred technology stack: Frontend: React.js • Backend: Node.js, Java, or Python • Experience building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. • Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns. • Experience working directly with enterprise clients and stakeholders. • Excellent communication and leadership skills. • Demonstrated experience using AI tools in day-to-day software development. AI Skills • Daily hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar tools. • Strong prompt engineering and context engineering skills. • Experience implementing AI-assisted software development workflows. • Ability to review, validate, and improve AI-generated code. • Experience mentoring teams on effective AI adoption. Nice to Have • Experience with emerging technologies such as Digital Identity, Real-time Payments, Blockchain, Smart Contracts, Quantum Computing, or similar. • Experience with AI/ML platforms and frameworks. • Cloud experience on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. • Mobile development experience (iOS or Android). • Relevant AI certifications are advantageous.
