Product Manager

Salary: £51,000 - 91,000 per year Requirements: • Understanding of tools, terms and principles to deliver outcomes across discovery and test & learn work • Central Government experience • Proven experience applying product management principles to technology / technical products (not just digital services) • Experience creating and communicating product roadmaps and handling stakeholder challenge • Experience defining/refining product visions based on broad factors • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create and prioritise technical/software product backlogs based on value, effort and strategy • Confidently communicating and justifying prioritisation decisions • Effective stakeholder management and influencing across departmental / functional boundaries • Able to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment using iterative methods • Able to communicate complex technical product issues to non-technical stakeholders • Able to set direction and ensure colleagues understand objectives and timeframes Responsibilities: • Perform complex product management activities • Support and guide others • Work autonomously under general direction of our Lead Product Manager with substantial discretion • Own and develop multiple prioritised technology and technical backlogs based on user needs, value and effort • Deliver a complex, live cloud platform service • Progressively add new features and capabilities via discovery, framing, and test and learn cycles Technologies: • AWS • Azure • Cloud • Support • Product Manager More: We are a major UK Government Department Health Platform Team working on a complex, live cloud platform service. Our platform includes an AWS application platform covering shared services, networking and foundational AWS infrastructure, as well as an Azure data platform for aggregation, transformation and analysis of disparate data sets. We reduce burden for delivery teams by abstracting cloud account management, networking and connectivity. This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham, Leeds, or Newcastle, starting ASAP, offered inside IR35 at up to £380 per day. BPSS is required. last updated 38 week of 2026
