Digital All Rounder

An opportunity for a Digital Allrounder to join a well-established print business in the Inner City Suburbs of Melbourne. This is a genuinely hands-on role that sits right at the centre of the business. One minute you're talking a client through their options on a job, the next you're prepping the file, and after that you're on the machine finishing it. If you like variety, and like seeing a job through from brief to boxed-and-ready, this is that role. It suits someone who enjoys the technical side of print but doesn't want to be hidden away in a back room, client contact is a real part of the job, and the ability to give practical, constructive advice is valued as highly as the production skills. What you'll be doing • Working across the full print lifecycle - customer consultation, graphic design, pre-press preparation and digital finishing • Operating digital printing equipment and finishing machinery, including binding, laminating and guillotining • Preparing and checking files for print, running quality checks and troubleshooting technical issues before they become problems • Advising clients on the best approach for their brief and offering practical solutions when a job needs rethinking • Building and maintaining client relationships face to face, over the phone and via email What you'll bring • Experience in pre-press and graphic design within the printing industry • Hands-on experience operating digital printing and finishing equipment • A background in customer support, with strong verbal and written communication skills • Confidence troubleshooting technical issues and making the call on file quality • Exposure to a fast-paced print environment and a range of finishing techniques • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach; this is a small team where everyone pitches in What's on offer • Permanent, full-time position with a stable and established operator • Genuine variety across design, production and client-facing work • An inner city location with excellent public transport access, and cafes Negotiable for the right person, the remuneration guide is from $59,000 - 65,000 ***You must have full working rights to work in Australia as visa sponsorship and relocation are not provided for this role.*** If this sounds like your next challenge, APPLY NOW with your resume and cover letter, outlining your achievements by demonstrating exactly how you meet the above criteria.
