Senior Salesforce Backend Developer • Experience: 4 - 5 years • Location: Mumbai Lower Parel - Work from office Department: Engineering / Platform Experience Level: 4 -5 years Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer with excellent hands-on expertise in customizing and coding within the Salesforce ecosystem. This role focuses on building scalable Salesforce solutions with strong technical fundamentals. The ideal candidate will also have Java backend development capabilities to support full-stack development when required. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Flow Customize Salesforce configurations including objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and page layouts Develop and maintain Salesforce integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware platforms Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following Salesforce best practices and coding standards Contribute to Java backend services and microservices architecture when needed to support Salesforce implementations Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on Salesforce development practices Perform unit testing, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance Stay updated with Salesforce releases, new features, and emerging technologies in the ecosystem Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions Maintain technical documentation and create knowledge base articles for solution designs Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience Expert-level proficiency in Apex programming language Strong experience with Salesforce Lightning Components (LWC) or Aura Framework Proficiency in Visualforce, Page Layouts, and Salesforce custom objects and fields Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk API, Metadata API) Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles Proficiency in Java programming for backend development Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in team environments Excellent communication skills and ability to document technical solutions Nice-to-Have Qualifications Salesforce Certifications (Developer, Platform Developer II, or similar) Experience with Salesforce Einstein Analytics or CRM Analytics Knowledge of Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, and Spring Framework Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Familiarity with Salesforce DX (SFDX) and DevOps Center Experience with TDD (Test-Driven Development) and Apex testing Knowledge of relational databases and SQL Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Technical Skills Matrix Skill Category Required Skills Proficiency Level Salesforce Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL Advanced Backend Dev Java, Spring Boot, APIs, Microservices Advanced (3+ yrs) Integrations REST APIs, SOAP, MuleSoft Intermediate-Advanced Tools Git, JIRA, Jenkins, Salesforce DX Intermediate-Advanced Databases SQL, Data Modeling Intermediate Soft Skills & Attributes Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and documentation skills Self-motivated with ability to learn new technologies quickly Team player with ability to work collaboratively across departments Strong attention to detail and commitment to code quality Experience mentoring junior developers
