The Opportunity As our Mackay office continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Civil Designer to join our team and play a key role in delivering exciting projects across the region. Your responsibilities will include: • Designing earthworks, stormwater drainage and sewer systems for commercial and residential developments • Creating conceptual and detailed civil designs using 12D Model and AutoCAD, ensuring all design documentation meets project, client and quality requirements. • Preparing civil design drawings and documentation for Development Applications (DA) and Operational Works (Op Works) applications • Collaborating with engineers, surveyors and external consultants to develop practical and compliant design solutions • Conducting site inspections, including subgrade and basecourse proof rolls, sewer testing and on-maintenance inspections • Incorporating site inspection findings into design documentation and project outcomes • Supporting feasibility studies, reports and cost estimates • Ensuring designs comply with relevant codes, legislation and Australian Standards • Assisting with construction monitoring and inspections to ensure design intent is delivered on site About you You’ll bring solid technical capability, initiative and a collaborative approach, along with: • Minimum 5 years’ civil design/drafting experience, preferably within a consulting environment. • Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification • Strong knowledge of design software including 12D Model and AutoCAD • Knowledge of local and statutory requirements, legislation, and Australian Standards • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Full, unrestricted Australian working rights About STP Consultants For more than 20 years, STP Consultants has been helping shape communities across Queensland.
