LKQ Corporation - Business Analyst

Job Summary : Business Analyst will be responsible for performing day-to-day analysis, reporting and management of company data using analytical tools to ensure delivery of analytical projects, pricing and forecasting to meet wider business goals such as sales and margin improvement, routine and ad-hoc reporting, business intelligence dashboards. Identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity. Essential Job Duties : - Perform business analysis, Reporting/dashboards on day-to-day basis - Competitive intelligence gathering/market intelligence, benchmarking - Execute plans based upon data (statistical analysis). Drive execution of those plans (e.g. Ability to leverage data and identify opportunities of improvement, customer behavior, forecasting of sales, margin, and demand, spot trend, offer solutions to business). - Work with functional leadership and cross-functionally across the company to establish and maintain functional specific operating and business metrics. - Analyzing large amounts of information to find patterns and solutions - Understanding Market Analysis, Sales and Profitability to provide recommendation by doing analysis in order to meet financial goals - Experience with building insights using varied data sources Basic Qualifications : Education & Experience : - 6+ years of relevant Industry experience Skills : - Project management skills - able to set work priorities in a logical order and handle multiple priorities in parallel - Proficient and experienced in analysis, databases and data mining - Developing prediction systems and machine learning algorithms - Machine Learning - good knowledge of machine learning methods like k-Nearest Neighbors, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests. - Data Wrangling - proficiency in handling imperfections in data is an important aspect of a data scientist job description. - Fully proficient in descriptive and inferential statistics and intermediate in use of regression analysis, forecasting, etc. - Analytical thinker and comfortable with large data sets. - Strong strategic thinking skills to support analysis and lead to the recommendation of strategies and the execution of plans - Experience working with creating dashboards using all relevant data using visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau - Expert in SQL, MS Office tools, MS Excel, Power Pivot, VBA - Experience with Python/R highly preferred - Experienced in one or both of Quality Management-Six Sigma (preferred) Abilities : - Work style that is very precise, detailed and accuracy-oriented is required in order for a candidate to be successful in the role. - Ability to work in a geographically dispersed team environment - Communication - fluent in the English language (both written and verbal); equally able to explain complex analyses to those within and outside the function. - Should be able to make sales and marketing strategy decisions. Reporting, dashboard creation and Forecasting Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with one or more statistical analysis tools preferred (Tableau, Python, R) - Machine Learning and Advanced Analytics: Applying machine learning algorithms to build models that can automate decision-making processes or enhance predictions with increasing accuracy over time. - Experience with Business Intelligence software packages (IBM Cognos) preferred - Interest in the US Automotive Industry (experience preferred)
