This is a strategic digital leadership role focused on strengthening web experiences, digital marketing performance, and audience journeys across a large national organization. You will shape web strategy, personalization, SEO, UX, digital media, and conversion initiatives while connecting them to broader marketing and fundraising objectives. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on oversight of complex digital programs and cross-functional projects. You will use data, experimentation, and performance insights to identify opportunities and improve traffic, engagement, and conversion. The position also involves guiding teams, agencies, and senior stakeholders toward aligned priorities and effective delivery. Success requires balancing innovation with operational discipline in a fast-moving digital environment. This is a hybrid opportunity based in the Greater Toronto Area, with in-office attendance as business needs require. Accountabilities • Lead and support the execution of web strategy across key digital properties, aligning web experiences, brand priorities, audience journeys, fundraising objectives, and broader organizational goals. • Advise marketing, fundraising, content, analytics, and other cross-functional teams on digital strategy, web activation, personalization, UX, journey optimization, and campaign execution. • Identify opportunities to improve user journeys, web experiences, conversion, personalization, SEO, internal search, and overall digital performance, establishing testing and optimization roadmaps. • Develop and lead SEO strategy to strengthen organic visibility, improve rankings, increase qualified traffic, and support organizational traffic and revenue objectives. • Oversee web implementation and collaborate with digital experience, content, project management, technology, and agency partners to deliver campaigns, functionality improvements, maintenance, and new digital experiences. • Translate business needs into web strategies, journey maps, functional requirements, recommendations, project scopes, and delivery plans while maintaining alignment across stakeholders. • Support project intake, prioritization, capacity planning, annual roadmaps, delivery schedules, and resource allocation across marketing, fundraising, and cross-functional digital initiatives. • Provide digital marketing and web consultation during campaign planning, optimization, and post-campaign analysis, using insights to improve future media and digital strategies. • Partner with analytics teams to develop dashboards, monitor KPIs, evaluate experiments, and communicate actionable insights around traffic, engagement, donations, conversion, personalization, SEO, and on-site search. • Stay current with developments in UX, personalization, SEO, digital media, web technology, and emerging digital platforms, incorporating relevant innovations into the digital strategy. • Foster strong relationships with senior leaders, agencies, technology teams, content specialists, marketing teams, fundraising teams, and other stakeholders to support coordinated digital execution. • Contribute to budget development, forecasting, reconciliation, billing oversight, annual planning, and resource allocation for digital initiatives. • Lead and develop talent by setting clear objectives, coaching team members, providing feedback, supporting career development, and ensuring effective deployment of resources. • Support recruitment and workforce planning when required, while maintaining appropriate employee administration and adherence to organizational policies. Requirements • 7–10 years of digital marketing experience, including a strong track record in website strategy, optimization, performance management, and digital metrics. • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, information technology, or a related discipline is preferred. • Demonstrated experience developing and leading people and teams, with a focus on engagement, performance, collaboration, and professional growth. • Proven ability to generate strategic ideas and lead complex, high-impact digital projects from conception through implementation. • Strong experience with front-end web fundamentals, CMS platforms, GA4, digital media, SEO, UX and customer journey optimization, web personalization, and internal search. • Deep understanding of digital performance metrics such as engagement, traffic, average donation value, conversion rates, and other business-critical KPIs, with experience turning analysis into recommendations for senior stakeholders. • Experience launching new web products, digital functionality, personalization initiatives, or significant user experience improvements. • Broad familiarity with digital platforms and ecosystems, including CMS, DXP, CDP, PIM, OMS, and related technologies. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to identify risks, opportunities, and performance improvements quickly. • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in an evolving environment with changing technologies, requirements, and business needs. • Strong communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, and influencing skills across technical and non-technical audiences. • A consumer-focused mindset and demonstrated passion for digital growth, e-commerce, web experience, and performance optimization. • Self-directed, adaptable, curious, and committed to staying current with developments across the digital landscape. • Experience with HTML/CSS is an asset, while advanced Excel skills and experience creating macros are considered beneficial. Benefits • Hiring range of $95,000–$120,000 , depending on professional background and alignment with the compensation framework. • Flexible hybrid working model, with in-office attendance in the Greater Toronto Area based on business needs. • Generous paid time off, including vacation days, personal days, wellness days, and a paid organization-wide closure from December 25 through January 1. • Competitive health, medical, dental, and vision coverage. • Life insurance and disability benefits. • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) supporting employee well-being. • Defined contribution pension plan with employer matching. • Reimbursement support for mobile phone and home office setup. • Opportunities for professional development, learning, and career growth. • Inclusive and collaborative workplace focused on respect, compassion, trust, accessibility, and employee well-being. • Opportunity to contribute to digital initiatives connected to a mission focused on improving health outcomes and supporting communities across Canada.
