DevOps Engineer

Overview : As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Platform team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud solutions. You will leverage your expertise in AWS, Terraform, CloudFormation, GitLab pipelines, and Prisma to enhance our data projects' efficiency and reliability. Your role will include configuring CI/CD for projects and further solidifying our commitment to excellence in API, data management and processing. Key Responsibilities : • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to streamline the development, testing, and deployment of API and Data projects. • Utilize AWS services to architect scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency. • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement best practices for infrastructure automation, security, and monitoring. • Work closely with data engineers and data scientists to configure and optimize CI/CD pipelines for data projects, including Oracle, AWS, Apache Airflow and other databases. • Implement and manage containerization and orchestration solutions to enhance application scalability and portability. • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure high availability and reliability of services using Prometheus and Grafana. Required Experience and Skills • Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. • Minimum of 8 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipeline management. • Extensive experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Airflow and IAM. • Strong proficiency in infrastructure as code tools, including Terraform and CloudFormation. • Experience with GitLab pipelines, including creating, managing, and optimizing CI/CD workflows. • Knowledge of Prisma and its integration with various data projects. • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to teamwork and project management. • Strong understanding of security best practices and the implementation of secure infrastructure solutions. Preferred Qualifications : • Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) or other relevant certifications. • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar. • Knowledge of database management and optimization, particularly in cloud environments. • Experience with agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Confluence.
