Automation Test Engineer

Position Description: We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, Playwright, and Karate to design, develop, and maintain robust automated test solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in UI and API automation and a strong understanding of software testing methodologies. Your future duties and responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, Playwright, and Karate. Develop and execute UI automation and API automation test cases. Build and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks. Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. Create and maintain API automation scripts using Karate and validate REST APIs. Identify, analyze, and report defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution. Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing. Review test results, troubleshoot failures, and improve test coverage and framework stability. Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and estimation activities. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams in an Agile environment. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Required Skills 4–10 years of experience in software testing and test automation. Strong programming experience in Java. Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver. Hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation. Strong experience in Karate for API automation/testing. Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, and API testing. Experience with TestNG/JUnit. Good knowledge of automation framework design and development. Experience with Git and version control. Knowledge of Maven/Gradle. Experience working with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools. Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect management processes. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Preferred Skills Experience with BDD and Cucumber. Knowledge of SQL and database validation. Experience with cloud-based testing environments. Knowledge of Docker or containerized test environments. Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
