About the role: Two permanent, full-stack engineering roles are opening within Origin Zero’s E-Mobility team, building the 360EV Platform - a TypeScript monorepo spanning a GraphQL API over PostgreSQL, React/Next.js driver and admin portals, and AWS infrastructure defined as code, connected to the platform’s Salesforce instance through an event-driven architecture. You’ll design and build new capability across the stack, working to the technical direction set by the platform’s Tech Lead, and own initiatives end to end from design through to production verification. We’re looking for one engineer who leans toward the front end and one who leans toward the back end and APIs, though both roles are genuinely full-stack. Why this role matters? • Origin’s E-Mobility business manages a growing fleet of electric vehicles for our customers, with significant growth ahead, and this platform is core to how that business runs • You’ll work across the full stack - from a React component to a CDK stack - with genuine ownership of features, integrations or platform uplifts • The team develops with AI assistance as daily practice, while keeping every change reviewable and owned by whoever ships it • It’s a small, fast-moving team with real autonomy to shape how work gets done, including running regular experiments with new tools and approaches • You’ll collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and developers across the platform, including a parallel Salesforce team What will you bring? • Professional full-stack TypeScript/Node.js development experience, with strong engineering habits - version control fluency, code review and automated testing as standard practice • Experience with GraphQL in production, and modern React (Next.js, hooks-based state management, component libraries and design systems) • Comfort with relational databases without an ORM safety net, and experience designing event-driven integrations such as AWS EventBridge or SQS • Practical AWS experience, ideally with infrastructure as code (CDK), across containerised services, Lambda and related tooling • A genuine testing mindset - writing automated tests across the pyramid, including end-to-end coverage with a framework such as Playwright • Confidence using AI-assisted development tools as part of your daily workflow, while keeping every change something you can explain and stand behind Origin - Where good change happens We are committed to fostering a diverse, gender equitable workforce, where everyone is welcome, and all applications are evaluated on merit and potential.
