Job description
We are partnering with a highly regarded accounting firm that is experiencing continued growth and is looking to add a motivated Intermediate Accountant to its Business Services & Tax team.

The Role Working closely with experienced Managers and Partners, you will gain exposure to a diverse client portfolio while further developing your technical and advisory skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
• Exposure to a broad range of taxation matters including GST, CGT, FBT and Division 7A
• Assisting with tax planning and tax advisory matters
• Maintaining client asset registers, reconciliations and adjusting journals
• Liaising directly with clients, the ATO and other external stakeholders
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Working closely with senior team members on complex client matters
• Assisting with workflow management and meeting compliance deadlines
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required
• Identifying opportunities to add value to clients and contribute to business growth
About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:
• Degree qualified in Accounting
• CA or CPA qualified, or currently studying towards completion
• 2-4 years of Australian public practice experience
• Strong understanding of business services and taxation compliance
• Experience using Xero and Class Super
• Handisoft experience will be highly regarded
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
• Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship
